Privacy Policy

TimeGauge is built to be a simple, secure tool that keeps your time progress visible without collecting, transmitting, or sharing any personal data.

Information We Collect

TimeGauge operates under a zero-data collection policy for the app. The application does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal information. There are no accounts to create, email signups, advertising SDKs, or third-party analytics inside the app.

Website Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics for basic web traffic monitoring. This helps us understand how many visitors we get and which pages are most popular. However, the TimeGauge macOS application itself does not collect, transmit, or monitor any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or usage data.

Apple Sandbox Security

TimeGauge uses Apple’s App Sandbox and hardened runtime. The app stores its preferences inside its own container and does not request access to your documents or files.

Information Stored On Your Device

All of your configurations, timers, and data are stored locally and securely on your Mac. This includes timer names, visibility preferences, active states, custom deadline dates, work sessions, optional session notes, work targets, workdays, and your birthdate and lifespan estimate if you use the Life timer. This information is kept entirely within the app's sandboxed local container and never leaves your computer.

Network Access

TimeGauge does not require network access to function and does not transmit your timer or work-history data to the internet. If a future version introduces network-based features such as data syncing, this policy will be updated, and any such features will be strictly opt-in.

Launch at Login

If you enable the Launch at Login option, macOS registers this preference to start the application automatically when your computer opens. This preference is handled entirely by native macOS APIs and can be toggled off at any time within the app's settings or under your Mac's System Settings.

Children's Privacy

Because TimeGauge collects zero personal information, we do not knowingly or unknowingly collect, store, or process data from children or any other user group.

Changes to This Policy

We may periodically update this policy to reflect design modifications or legal adjustments. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
